How do I transfer a domain from one holder to another?
We can only carry out holder changes for domains that we are the current registrar for.

.no/.se/.fi/.eu/.be/.de/.fr/.it

For .no/.se/.fi/.eu/.be/.de/.fr/.it domains, please use the following procedure to change holder:

  1. Log into the control panel at domainnameshop.com/login, select the domain from the list under "My domains" and click on "Edit contact info".
  2. Double-check that the email address for the registrant is correct, and update if necessary.
  3. Click on "Change owner" to the far right on the page. Fill in the contact info for the new holder and submit the order.
  4. When both the new and the old holder have confirmed the holder change, the domain will be transferred to the new holder. Both parties will receive a receipt by email when the holder change is complete, and the new administrator of the domain may then log into the control panel and verify that all contact information is correct. It is of particular importance to verify that the billing address is correct after the holder change has been completed.
NB! Holder change for .no and .be domains will incur a charge of one yearly fee, and the new expiry date of the domain will be one year after the holder change has completed. Holder change for .se/.fi/.eu/.de/.fr/.it domains is free of charge, and will not affect the expiry date of the domain.

.dk

For .dk domains, please use the following procedure to change holder:

  1. Look up the domain in WHOIS on domainnameshop.com/whois and write down the username (handle) after "Registrant Handle:". This should be on the form XXXX-DK.
  2. Log in at selfservice.dk-hostmaster.dk with the username from WHOIS and the corresponding password (click on "Forgotten password?" if necessary) and order a change of registrant.
  3. When both the new and the old holder have confirmed the change, you will see in WHOIS that the domain has been transferred, and you may then change the billing contact for the domain if necessary.
  4. If the domain is to be managed by another user after the transfer is completed, go to "Move domain to another account" and enter the email address of the new administrator.
  5. NB! When changing the holder of a .dk domain, the billing contact in DK Hostmaster's system will automatically be set to the same as the new holder. If you want to pay the yearly renewal fee through Domainnameshop, you must change the billing contact back to HA3476-DK. If not, the new holder will receive renewal invoices directly from DK Hostmaster.
